A festive moment at real estate fair PROVADA. Project developer Blauwhoed, KOERS and ZVH housing association from Zaandam signed a letter of intent on the exhibition floor for the purchase of 158 social and medium-rent homes, a social community space and associated parking spaces. The homes are part of the new-build Timbr project being realised on the Slachthuisstraat in Zaandam, based on a design by the Architekten Cie. Capital Value is supervising the sales process on behalf of Blauwhoed and Koers.

Eltjo Bouwman, director of housing at Blauwhoed "With this signing, we are another step further in the realisation of the Timbr project with which we respond to the great need for affordable rental housing. It will also be built in a sustainable and modular concept. A project we are immensely proud of."

Franck Storm, director-director ZVH: "The Timbr project is in line with ZVH's ambition to add sustainable social and medium-term rental housing in Zaanstad, thereby reducing the housing shortage. In addition, the building gives a positive impulse to the renewal of Kogerveldwijk".

Harold Koers and Leen van Bellen, project development directors at KRS Vastgoed B.V., part of KOERS, are grateful and proud to be involved in the sustainable, circular and climate-adaptive Timbr project in Zaandam. "Together with partners Blauwhoed and ZVH, we are taking an important step towards a vibrant and sustainable living environment with affordable rental housing. We aim to make a positive contribution to the development of a thriving neighbourhood and a future where housing is accessible to all."

Wood and modular
Timbr will be built modular, circular and climate-adaptive, which has many sustainable benefits and helps prevent heat stress and flooding. A large part of the building will be realised in wood. The houses consist of modules that are made in the factory and assembled on site.
