4 juli 2023

Bouwinvest Residential Fund recently sold 327 homes to Grouwels Vastgoed. The homes are located across the cities of Amsterdam (pictured), Gouda and Groningen. Capital Value and New Ground Law assisted the Bouwinvest Residential Fund in the sale.

The properties almost all have an energy label A, B or C and almost all are rented in the freehold rental segment. The sale fits in with Bouwinvest Residential Fund's desire to optimise the portfolio and focus more on the fund's strategic objectives with the pillars of quality, affordability and sustainability.

Michiel de Bruine, Director Dutch Residential Investments at Bouwinvest: "We have held these properties in our portfolio for an average of 33.5 years and have generated nice returns for our investors, Dutch pension funds and insurers. Like previous sales this year, this sale is also a targeted action to further align the portfolio with the strategy and shows that, even under current market conditions, the fund is able to generate liquidity for a number of investors in the fund."

Richard Dohmen, General  Manager at Grouwels Vastgoed: "The acquisition of this portfolio fits perfectly with Grouwels Vastgoed's ambitions to continue playing a relevant role in the Dutch housing market as a private investor. With this transaction, we show our confidence in the quality of this portfolio and the long-term prospects of the Dutch housing market."
