Development combination Snippe Projecten and BPD | Bouwfonds Gebiedsontwikkeling have signed a purchase agreement with housing association Ymere for 124 social rental apartments in the new Hyde Park urban district in Hoofddorp. Capital Value supervised the transaction on behalf of Snippe.

This week, the realisation agreement was also signed with contractor De Vries and Verburg. De Vries and Verburg has been active in Hyde Park for some time and will deliver the first of 233 flats in block Kensington in the autumn.

Hyde Park is a redevelopment of the former office district Beukenhorst-West, between Hoofddorp Centrum and within walking distance of the NS railway station Hoofddorp. It will be a fully-fledged city district with around 3,800 apartments, where greenery and living space will be developed alongside housing and a diversity of facilities. More than 1,500 flats are now under construction. The 124 social rental flats will be built in the heart of Hyde Park between the park and Hoofddorp public transport hub.

The block is a design by Studioninedots, featuring façade materials according to the urban development and image quality plan designed by Winy Maas of MVRDV. On the ground floor, the apartment block provides space for various facilities and its own access. In terms of sustainability, the new building achieves energy label A+++.

The municipality has approved the zoning plan and the planning permission is irrevocable. Construction will start after the summer holidays in 2023.
