AM sells De Lofts in Amsterdam
De Lofts is designed by Inbo architecten. Residents can make use of common spaces, such as a roof terrace, a living room, a hotspot with workspaces and a laundry. De Lofts includes 212 high quality rental appartments with a size of approx. 32 m² with several facilities on the ground floor. Ronald Huikeshoven, CEO AM: “De Lofts is a unique project as it combines the community thought with the affordability and high quality of living in the city. This is confirmed by the 1,000 prospective tenants that have signed up for the apartments.” This concept made AM win the tender of block 2BB of the municipality of Amsterdam in December 2015. The Lofts is a response to the increasing demand for medium-priced homes within the city. Especially among young people born between 1980 and 2000, the millennials or young professionals. This audience buys a house at a later age, attaches less value to property and would like to share facilities. The building is very energy efficient with an EPC of 0.15 and a large part of the roof is equipped with solar panels, which is used to supply the building with electricity.
