A sustainable urban area development
The complex will be realised in the north-east of Amersfoort, within walking distance of Amersfoort-Schothorst station. In this urban area development, walking, bicycle use and electric shared mobility are encouraged, thus reducing the CO2 footprint. The installation of solar panels on the building’s roof also contributes to this.
A mix of housing types
The development offers a mix of housing types, including 87 regulated rented apartments, 83 mid-priced rental apartments, 38 non-regulated apartments and 7 live/work apartments. Of the non-regulated apartments, 30 will be sold. This wide variety of housing makes the complex interesting for both lower- and middle-income earners. The future roof garden provides a connection between residents and nature. Biodiversity will also have a nice place in the plan.
Marijn Snijders, managing director at Capital Value, says: “This project is a great example of good cooperation between a developer, the municipality and a housing corporation who share the same goal: realising sufficient affordable rental housing in Amersfoort. The complex makes an important contribution to reducing the housing shortage in the Amersfoort region.”
