IProperty Asset Management has acquired three residential complexes with a total of 284 homes and 202 parking spaces from Bouwinvest Residential Fund. The homes, located in Amsterdam, Apeldoorn and Maastricht, have an average surface area of approximately 97 m² and 88% have an energy label A or higher. The transaction was financed by ING Real Estate Finance. Capital Value advised Bouwinvest Residential Fund on the sale.
Bouwinvest Residential Fund sells 284 homes
The Bouwinvest Residential Fund previously announced that it would invest €1 billion in the Dutch housing market over the coming years, partly by selling assets that have been in the portfolio for a longer period of time or that do not fit well within the core regions of the fund. Paul van Stiphout, Fund Manager Residential Investments at Bouwinvest, says: “By 2034, approximately 1 million homes must be added. By selling these assets, the portfolio will on average become younger and we will create financial space to invest in new housing projects.”
With this investment, IProperty Asset Management is taking a new step in expanding its residential portfolio. The focus is on acquiring high-quality homes that contribute to sustainable and future-proof living. This is in line with the ambition to create long-term added value and to realize a positive impact on the housing market.
Jens van Hasenbroek, Director Transactions bij Capital Value:
“Given the favourable characteristics of the residential complexes and the improved market conditions in the Netherlands, there was a lot of interest in this residential portfolio. This transaction is another good example of the increased confidence in the Dutch residential investment market.”
