The Residential Fund applies an active portfolio management strategy, continuously assessing which assets optimally contribute to long-term returns, risk management and sustainability objectives. By selectively divesting assets, the fund creates room to renew the portfolio and better align it with changing market demand. Through targeted capital reallocation, the Residential Fund is gradually working towards a Paris Proof residential portfolio by 2045, while maintaining its competitive position.
Paul van Stiphout, Fund Manager of Bouwinvest Residential Fund: “We actively manage our portfolio to ensure it delivers sustainable returns over the long term, both for our investors and for the built environment. This requires making clear choices: we aim to contribute to quality, sustainability and future-proof housing. It also requires new capital and a more attractive investment climate.”
Richard Dohmen, Managing Director of Grouwels Vastgoed: “With this acquisition, we underline our ambition to invest family capital sustainably and across generations in Dutch residential real estate. At the same time, we provide institutional investors such as Bouwinvest with the liquidity and flexibility needed to optimise their portfolios and create room for new-build development.”
The released capital will remain actively invested in the Dutch residential market. Recently, the Residential Fund invested in 933 new-build homes in Amsterdam, 273 homes as part of a transformation project in Zoetermeer and 156 apartments in Schiedam.
