BPL Pensioen sells residential portfolio with 343 homes
The properties are located in Burgum, Didam, Drachten, Dwingeloo, Emmen, Gendringen, Grave, Groesbeek, Holten and Schaijk. Years of construction vary from 1975 to 2001. Kees van Harten, managing director Capital Value: “For many years, private investors have played an important role in acquiring existing assets in the Netherlands. In 2019, they accounted for approximately 25% of the total transaction volume with EUR 2.4 billion in investments. This year they will again have a significant share in the total transaction volume in the residential investment market. In view of the increase in the rate of the transfer tax, which, as it now looks like, will take effect on January 1, 2021, we are currently seeing a year-end rally emerging to get transactions completed on time.”
