Pike Vastgoed BV sells Kop van Laak in the Hague to Altera
Kop van Laak is the finale of the Spoorzone development near The Hague city centre. Arkelson B.V. was responsible for its design and Ouwehand Bouw will start construction later this year.
Sustainability was the starting point of the development of the complex, which matches Altera’s investment strategy very well. All apartments will be all-electric, hence gas-free, and equipped with energy saving floor heating, modern thermal insulation and solar panels.
The complex is situated at the corner of Waldorpstraat and Calandstraat in Laakhaven-West. It offers a most favourable mix of green, urban amenities and facilities at walking and cycling distance and is within reach of public transport and motorways. With rental prices from EUR 850 per month the complex is targeted at (young) professionals and small families.
Erwin Wessels, Director Portfolio Management at Altera: “We are very happy to have been able to acquire this beautiful development, which is the master piece of the redevelopment of the Spoorzone area of the Hollands Spoor district which used to be a mono-functional harbour- and industrial area. PIKE Vastgoed, the municipality of The Hague, Ouwehand building company and Capital Value have worked together to develop Kop van Laak into a modern and diversified district which offers living, working and recreational facilities while still breathing the atmosphere of the days gone by. Apart from the sustainability features, the affordability of the apartments has been a very important aspect for us in the decision making process.”
