Woonzorg Nederland sells residential complex De Zwaag in Hekelingen
Residential property ‘De Zwaag’ comprises 32 social rental housing units, each with a private outdoor space. The complex is located in a green and quiet residential area in Hekelingen, providing a pleasant living environment for tenants. However, the layout of the apartments offers limited accessibility for residents using a walking frame and/or wheelchair, and the building does not have a lift. In addition, amenities are located at a greater distance from the complex than is desirable for Woonzorg Nederland’s target group. By selling the complex to a private investor, it will remain available to the social rental housing sector over the long term, while enabling the necessary quality improvements to be implemented.
Jacoline van den Berg, Adviser Transactions:
“De Zwaag’ offers a pleasant living environment for social rental tenants, but it no longer met the standards applied by the seller for its target group. Through a transparent and careful sales process, a new owner has been found who recognises the importance of affordable housing. The new owner will carry out the required renovations to ensure the homes are future-proof.”
