Accresco Vastgoed sells De Statenkoning in Rotterdam to a private investor

5 september 2022

Accresco Vastgoed has sold the monumental residential complex De Statenkoning in Rotterdam to a private investor. The Statenkoning is the former Christus Koningkerk in Hillegersberg in Rotterdam. The monumental building was transformed in 2019 by Accresco Vastgoed into a residential complex with 24 modern rental apartments. Capital Value advised Accresco Vastgoed on the sale. Schaap Advocaten Notarissen provided legal advice. TW Residential supervised the acquisition.

Accresco Vastgoed is a developing real estate investor in Rotterdam that focuses strongly on the renewal and improvement of empty or orphaned places. After a long period of vacancy, Accresco Vastgoed bought and transformed the former church. A total of 24 modern rental apartments have been realised. The size varies from approximately 65 to approximately 100 sqm. Each apartment has its own parking space in the underground parking garage.

Jens van Hasenbroek, director at Capital Value: De Statenkoning is a good example of a successful transformation of an existing complex into modern and sustainable apartments with a monumental character. There is still a lot of demand in the market for existing complexes with a unique character in inner-city locations."
