6 juni 2019

Area and real estate developer AM and Syntrus Achmea Real Estate & Finance have agreed on the sale of 156 apartments of the development project Schalkstad Haarlem. AM and Portico Investments agreed the transaction of 6,500 sqm commercial space in the same area. Capital Value advised AM on the sale.

Schalkstad is a multi-functional area development project that also includes a car park above ground for 600 cars, a new connecting bridge and the development of public areas, commissioned by the municipality of Haarlem. BAM Wonen is responsible for the construction of the apartments, commercial spaces and the car park, whereas BAM Infra will be realising the new bridge and the public areas.

The complex will be built on the grounds of the current car park of shopping centre Schalkwijk. The building was designed by Mollink Soeters PPHP and the public spaces by Buro Lubbers.

120 of the 156 apartments will be made available for the private rental sector and 36 of them will be let to care centre Philadelphia. Super market chains Albert Heijn and Aldi will realise two large supermarkets and in the remaining commercial spaces several small shops will be established. There will also be room for restaurants and cafes and the plan is to realise a number of terraces at the market square and on the water front.
