COD transfers De Meester in Haarlem to Bouwinvest

16 november 2020

Bouwinvest has bought 178 apartments in De Meester, a former craft school on Verspronckweg in Haarlem. The complex, formerly known as the 'Sterren College', is located in the Kleverpark neighborhood and is being transformed by COD into a modern residential building with spacious representative apartments that will be located in the monumental main building and a new-build section with underground parking garage. Capital Value advised COD on the sale. The Scholtens-Toekomst consortium, a collaboration of Scholtens Bouw and Toekomst Groep, will be responsible for the construction.

The 178 apartments will be realised in three different building parts: the monumental main building from 1920, a high-quality extension from 1955 and two new wings yet to be built with a contemporary look. The design is by Inbo architects. A two-storey parking garage with 157 parking spaces will be realised under the new building. The use of shared cars is also provided for tenants. The apartments vary in size from approximately 59 m² to 212 m², of which 25 starter homes (mid-rental) in one of the new wings.
