Delta Lloyd Vastgoed acquires 64 new build apartments

16 juni 2016

Delta Lloyd Vastgoed recently acquired 64 new apartments in Woerden. The apartments are meant for the non-regulated rental sector and will be realised in two towers located close to the central station and city centre of Woerden. It is expected that the apartments will be completed in the third quarter of 2017. Capital Value advised Delta Lloyd Vastgoed on the sale, in cooperation with DTZ Zadelhoff.

The developer of the apartments is Hollands Midden, part of the Rijnstaete Groep, in cooperation with Bolton Ontwikkeling.

The apartments are part of a larger plan 'Woerden Centraal', a development on the former Campina area. A large part of the plan has already been realised.

Igno Schings, manager real estate at Delta Lloyd: "We are very pleased to have acquired this development to expand and rejuvenate our residential portfolio. Delta Lloyd is investing in a sustainable manner in Dutch rental housing and has a long investment horizon. We expect to announce further transactions in the short term."

Thijs Meijer, real estate advisor for new developments at Capital Value: "Investments in new developments are needed to face the increasing shortages on the residential market in the Netherlands. Pension funds can play an important role. At this moment, there are still not enough dwellings that are being built".
