Wimjan van de Wiel joins international team Capital Value

The team of Capital Value is expanding further. As per 1 February, Wimjan van de Wiel has joined our team as residential investment adviser. He will assist in advising international investors on the acquisition and sale of existing portfolios and new build developments. Previously, Wimjan has worked as an investment analyst at Round Hill Capital.
International investors have played an increasingly important role in the Dutch residential investment market in recent years. In 2020, the transaction volume of international investors in Dutch rental homes amounted to 3.7 billion euros, a 32% share of the total transaction volume.
Marijn Snijders, managing director Capital Value: "The number of transactions with international investors on the Dutch residential market is increasing. International investors are also showing a growing interest in new-build homes. Our recent research shows that 22% of international capital in 2020 went to new-build homes, making international investors responsible for the construction of 3,600 new homes in the Netherlands. In the coming years, international investors will continue to be an important player in adding new rental properties to the housing stock. With his international experience, Wimjan can make a valuable contribution to the further expansion of our services for the international market."
