Sale to an international investor

On behalf of Amvest, we assisted the sale of 265 dwellings to the German investor BNP Paribas REIM Germany. The dwellings were located in Hoofddorp, Almere, Barendrecht and Zoetermeer.

Our approach

Amvest wanted to sell a large portfolio during a time when interest in Dutch rented homes was growing sharply. In an effort to more effectively map out the wishes of large international parties, we organised an investment briefing in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations at the Dutch embassy in London. We made a professional presentation of the portfolio and made all details available in a digital data room.

The result

The portfolio was successfully sold to BNP Paribas REIM Germany. Headquartered in Munich, BNP Paribas REIM Germany manages the assets of a number of German pension funds, along with a host of other clients. The fund has over EUR 4.4 billion in managed assets and operates in more than 14 countries across Europe and Asia.

Wim Wensing, director of Investment Management at Amvest commented on the sale: "What is special about this transaction is that BNP Paribas REIM is a core investor who invests money from German pension funds for the longer term in the Dutch housing market and was prepared to pay an optimal price."
